Enjoyed a Origami weekend

Monday, June 1, 2009

Yes, a Origami weekend . My last week was not as horrible and i have breathed a lot of fresh air and my soul was light-weight balloon. i had a lot of ideas to put my things around into some of my beloved forms. So here i go - i made a mushroom stand. Here, I my thoughts were given formusing a-very-little knowledge that i bear about origami.

It came out simple - to me its nice. The upper part - i needed thin card paper - cut a round of it and coloured it with oil pastels- but later found out that was a bad idea. oil on oily surface doesnt work that good. But it turned out better after i tried and tried. learnt it :)

An upper view of my mushroom would look like that. (- _ -)

And .. here's a lower view:

The stem was done as simple as roll-n-stick method, as you would do. For an additional support i made short slits of the lower portion, so as to let it stand in a way, it doesn't fall off. The supporting lower tub-like case has been made in a method shown by the great Tomoko Fuse. I adore her so much (^o^) ..By the way, it is half part of a box (design by Tomoko Fuse).

i will be posting soon about this lower part box - if possible it might be a tut too. let's see till then. oh yea, i have been making those cute li'l origami stars too. would be posting that too ' soon as i can.
